The world is a field of colours. Here we have the beginnings of a serene sunset casting a beautiful lavender glow in the sky which is softened by some lazy hazy clouds. If you squint you eyes a bit you can feel like you are standing in a grassy field being surrounded by this atmospheric work.
This painting is oil on a wood panel, 24"x30" with a black floating frame. I gave it a resin finish to enhance the deepness of the colours but then I "buffed" and finished it with cold wax in a proprietary process I have developed over the years. This gives the painting a unique satin, non reflective appearance.
